Houston :)

Finally I arrived at Houston on 2nd Feb 2011

Amsterdam Feb 2011

When I booked my ticket on KLM back on 13th Jan I made sure I will stay couple of hours transit in Amsterdam and head straight to Houston. But aftet Egypts Revolution things got messed up. The airlines schedules all had to change cause of the curfew and many tourists wanted to leave Egypt. My ticket was on 1st Feb at 2am. But I had to leave at 1st Feb at noon.
And stay a whole night in Amstetdam!!
KLM called me and told me about the change un flight schedule and told me that they will provide a one night sleep in a hotel. I was excited :)
I arrived at cairo airport around 8.30am and it was terrrrrrrible. Too many people all in a rush.

Egypts Revolution 2011

Well I never expected that one day my country will be able to change. I kept hearing from people and seeing on Facebook that on 25th Jan there will be a protest in Tahrir copying what Tunis people did. I thought it wont happen cause the police will stop them. That day was a holiday in Egypt celebrating Police Day so I decided to hang out with my friends. As we passed by Tahrir area I saw lots of police cars and police blocking streets reaching important buildings like Ministries in the downtown area. But no protests were on the streets yet. It was around 11am. The day was passing by like any normal day. But around 5pm I read in CNN app that 1000 of protests were in Tahrir. I decided to go home even though I was far away from downtown. I kept watching TV and couldnt beleive that its truely happening. That people are not giving up. That they will protest and stay there till Mr Hosny Mobarak leaves.
